With the new support cards from the Masterduel Selection pack "Revived Legion," Salamangreat now has more consistency and power than ever before! Most notably, they have access to a quick effect one-sided field wipe of all your opponent's cards during their turn due to the "Code of Soul" enabling Pyro Phoenix's full effects! Salmangreat Weasel being a tuner allows the synchro summon of Fire Fist Horse Prince, allowing the deck to search Ash Blossom! Being able to make full use of the fire support released lately, especially Promethean Princess - in turn creating bigger and powerful boards! Featuring many 1-2 card combos and so many extenders typical of a cyberse link spam deck, Salamangreat is certainly one of the great fire powerhouses of the format!
Salamangreat has certainly evolved past it's identity as a mid-range control deck centering in their archetypal trap cards Roar and Rage. Now, the intensity of the cyberse flames are on your side as 1 card combos enable a Pyro Phoenix to incinerate all of your opponent's cards!

ARCHETYPES AND DECKBUILDING
SALAMANGREAT cards form the core of this deck, comprising of 20 cards. The three-ofs in this deck, Circle of Fire, Gazelle and Salamangreat of Fire are at 3 because they are either 1 card starters or really powerful extenders. The one-ofs in this deck generally are searched as part of the main combo, such as Weasel. Other one-ofs are also extenders and have great utility like Jack Jaguar and Foxy. 1 each of the powerful Salamangreat traps are included since they are also highly searchable, either by Gazelle or Raging Phoenix.
The rest of the deck are composed of STAPLES. The usual compulsory "Maxx C" package is used to enable this deck to compete in Masterduel ladder. 11 handtraps are included simultaneously to interrupt your opponent and as Crossout targets. 2 Cynet Mining are included since it essentially functions as additional copies of Salamangreat of Fire.
COMBOS AND GAMEPLAN
The GAMEPLAN with Salamangreat doesn't merely revolve around setting up their traps + Accesscode OTK on turn 3 anymore - it has evolved into a more fire-based beatstick card advantage style, similar to Snake-Eyes except this time with Cyberse cards!
Here is the most common and powerful Salamangreat combo has due to the new support cards:
Salmangreat of Fire = Pyro Phoenix (quick effect fieldwipe due to Code of Soul) + Promethean Princess (destroy special summoned monster, resources) + EMP Meowmine (return 1 card opponent controls to hand) + Draw 1 (Salamangreat Meer) + x2 Raging Phoenix in GY (Gigantic beatsticks for follow-up OTK)
Normal summon Salamangreat of Fire. Search Gazelle from deck (If you already have Gazelle search for your Salamangreat extender of choice).
Link summon Balelynx using Salamangreat of Fire. CL1 Balelynx searches Sanctuary, CL2 Gazelle summons from hand.
Gazelle activates it's effect on summon to send Spinny from deck to GY. (If you already have Spinny in hand or GY send Jack Jaguar instead since it's a good extender).
XYZ summon Miragestallio using Gazelle + Spinny.
Activate Miragestallio's effect to summon Weasel from deck.
Link Summon Promethean Princess using Miragestallio + Baleynx + Weasel.
Activate Promethean Princess' effect to summon from GY any fire monster.
Link summon Raging Phoenix using Promethean Princess + fire monster.
Activate Salamangreat Sanctuary.
Link summon Raging Phoenix with Raging Phoenix using the effect of Sanctuary.
Raging Phoenix searches from deck Will of the Salamangreat with it's "reincarnation summon" effect.
Activate Will of the Salamangreat's effect to summon from GY Salamangreat of Fire, Gazelle, Spinny and Weasel by targeting Raging Phoenix.
Synchro summon Fire Fist Horse Prince using Weasel + Code of Soul.
Horse Prince summons from deck Code of Soul. (If you already have Code of Soul, summon from deck Ash Blossom instead. Later on, it can be added from GY to hand).
Link summon Sunlight Wolf using Horse Prince + Spinny to the link zone directly underneath Raging Phoenix.
Activate Weasel's trigger effect in the GY to summon a Salamangreat monster to your opponent's side of the field then draw 1 card.
Activate Promethean Princess' effect in GY to summon itself, destroying Gazelle on your side of the field and the Salamangreat monster on your side of the field.
Activate Raging Phoenix's effect in the GY to summon itself.
Link summon Spright Sprind using Salamangreat of Fire + the Raging Phoenix in the Extra Monster Zone. Sprind sends to GY EMP: Meowmine.
Link summon Pyro Pheonix in the Extra Monster Zone above Sunlight Wolf using Promethean Princess + Raging Phoenix.
Activate Sunlight Wolf's effect to recover a fire monster from your GY. (Ideally you get either Salamangreat of Fire or Ash Blossom from GY).
Set any cards like Salamangreat Roar, Imperm, Called By, etc.
During your opponent's turn, you can activate Code of Soul's effect in the GY to quick link using Pyro Phoenix to link summon another Pyro Phoenix for a full field wipe on your opponent's field. Also, when your opponent special summons a monster, you can use Promethean Princess to destroy a monster on your opponent's side of the field and your Spright Sprind. This will also trigger EMP Meowmine in the GY to return your opponent's card on the field to their hand.
From a singular Salamangreat of Fire, you get a full field wipe, several removals and a draw 1! The GY and hand are full of follow-up for next turn's OTK as well! There are 8 copies of Salamangreat of Fire in a 40 card deck, giving you ample chance to draw into the 1 card combo. This endboard set-up more or less is also available even without Salamangreat of Fire if you can make Miragestallio, since making it enables full combo.
Going second, you do pretty much the same thing, but instead you attempt to simplify the gamestate with your 11 handtraps and this deck's incredible consistency and extending power. Boards are cleared with Pyro Phoenix's fieldwipe combined with the incredibly high attack of Raging Phoenix!
GENERAL TIPS
If Maxx "C" resolves against you and you couldn't OTK, don't play into it by going full combo - having your opponent draw 20+ cards almost always isn't worth it.
True to the other cyberse combo decks, Salamangreat has many extenders like Spinny, Meer and Will of the Salamangreat that enable them to full combo even when interrupted. Keep this in mind as you plow through your opponent's interruption and handtraps!
Much like the other meta fire decks in this format, Salamangreat benefits greatly from Hiita and Promethean Princess. After Promethean Princess summons from your GY a Salamangreat combo piece or 1 card starter, you can proceed to full combo!
CONCLUDING REMARKS
Before the Selection Pack "Revived Legion" came out in Masterduel, Salamangreat seemed like a weaker version of Mathmech. The deck builds up to 1-2 backrow interruptions and removal backed by mass handtraps then OTKs turn 3 with Accesscode Talker. That seems boring and redundant when comparing Salamangreat to the other powerhouse Cyberse decks given the superior power and consistency of Mathmech and @Ignister. However, now the strategy has a unique fiery gameplan, playstyle and "flavour," with newly released cards like Raging Phoenix, Code of Soul and Weasel to blow up your opponent's entire board!
With these powerups, Salamangreat has further increased in power to comfortably compete in Masterduel ladder, making it an ideal deck to reach Masters 1 with due to it's adaptability, consistency and simplicity!
