Arkana - Ectoplasmer Curtain Burn [Low Rogue]

Power: Low Rogue (6.4/10) - This is cleaner and fully TCG-legal, but it stays Low Rogue because Ectoplasmer, Dark Magic Curtain, Stealth Bird, and Malice Doll of Demise are still slower theme payoffs rather than a modern rogue engine.

Consistency: Better than the old version. The deck now maxes Magicians' Souls, Magician's Rod, Dark Magical Circle, and Soul Servant, while Pot of Extravagance digs for the control pieces. Dark Magic Curtain is kept as a one-card Arkana button instead of a repeated brick.

Ceiling: Moderate. The main plan is Dark Magician control backed by Ectoplasmer burn, Stealth Bird chip damage, Infinite Impermanence, Solemn Judgment, Eternal Soul, and Magician Navigation. Secrets of Dark Magic gives a small Fusion ceiling through The Dark Magicians when the hand lines up.

Recovery: Solid for a theme-first burn deck. Eternal Soul and Navigation keep Dark Magician available, Soul Servant reloads follow-up, and Malice Doll of Demise can come back after being sent by Ectoplasmer or Infected Mail.

Going first/second: Best going first. Open with Circle, Eternal Soul, Navigation, Judgment, Impermanence, Messenger, or Ectoplasmer, then force the opponent to answer multiple small sources of pressure. Going second, the side deck brings Dark Ruler No More, Evenly Matched, Cosmic Cyclone, Nibiru, Droll, and Feather Duster.

Choke points: Remove Ectoplasmer before the End Phase, banish Malice Doll before it can return, stop Rod or Soul Servant from finding the Dark Magician engine, or clear Eternal Soul before Circle can turn Dark Magician summons into banishes.

Key cards: Ectoplasmer, Dark Magic Curtain, Dark Magician, Magicians' Souls, Magician's Rod, Soul Servant, Dark Magical Circle, Eternal Soul, Magician Navigation, Stealth Bird, Malice Doll of Demise, Infected Mail.

Key combos: Ectoplasmer tributes Malice Doll for burn, then Malice Doll can return on the next Standby Phase. Souls sends Dark Magician to the GY for Eternal Soul and Soul Servant lines. Rod searches Circle, Eternal Soul, Navigation, or Curtain. Circle plus Eternal Soul turns every Dark Magician summon into removal. Infected Mail lets a theme monster poke directly before being sent, which can also enable Malice Doll's return.
