Power: Low Rogue (6.6/10) - This is stronger and fully TCG-legal, but it stays Low Rogue because Battlewasps are still a fair Insect Synchro deck. The list has real pressure and good starter density, but it does not build the kind of layered interruption that would justify High Rogue.
Consistency: Strong. Battlewasp - Sting the Poison, Battlewasp - Pin the Bullseye, Twinbow, Arbalest, Resonance Insect, Gokipole, One for One, Foolish Burial, and Insect Imitation give the deck several ways to assemble bodies and reach Synchro lines.
Ceiling: Solid. The best turns use Azusa into Hama for damage pressure, Hama plus Nest for follow-up, or Inzektor Picofalena/Seraphim Papillion to turn a wide Insect board into longer grind pressure. Almiraj gives low-ATK starters a legal utility route.
Recovery: Good. Battlewasp - Arbalest, Battlewasp - Nest, Resonance Insect, Gokipole, Monster Reborn, and Pot of Desires help rebuild after the first board is answered, though losing the normal summon or having key Insects banished can still slow the deck down.
Going first/second: Flexible, but slightly better going second or playing into simplified boards. Going first, lean on Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermanence, Nest, and a sticky Insect board. Going second, the side deck brings Dark Ruler No More, Nibiru, Evenly Matched, Cosmic Cyclone, Pankratops, Droll, and Feather Duster.
Choke points: Stop Battlewasp - Sting the Poison before it searches, remove Resonance Insect before it converts into follow-up, interrupt Insect Imitation after the tribute cost, or answer Azusa before Hama turns the battle phase into lethal pressure.
Key cards: Battlewasp - Sting the Poison, Battlewasp - Twinbow the Attacker, Battlewasp - Arbalest the Rapidfire, Resonance Insect, Gokipole, Insect Imitation, Battlewasp - Nest, Battlewasp - Hama the Conquering Bow.
Key combos: Sting searches Pin or Twinbow, then the extra body helps make Azusa or Hama. Insect Imitation turns smaller Insects into the next level needed for Synchro climbing. Resonance Insect and Gokipole convert link or Synchro material into follow-up. Almiraj can send Sting or Gokipole from the field when you need a simple graveyard trigger, while Hama and Azusa give the deck its main Battlewasp payoff.
