Historically a blind second OTK strategy, Ancient Gear as a pure strategy now has plays going first (sort of). Opening any 1 of Wyvern, Frame, Advance, or Foolish Burial Goods can now end on a 3300 Atk or 4400 Atk monster unaffected by monster effects, and while these lines are vulnerable to interruption like Ash, Imperm, or Droll, drawing multiples of these starters can allow the deck to play through some interruption now. Foolish Burial Goods in particular can be flexed into adding Therion "King" Regulus to your end board if you drew another starter. The only thing this deck needs now is a reliable way to put 2 Golems on board to pair with Ancient Gear Fusion and Ancient Gear Duel, which is doable with Commander + a starter but isn't as consistent as you'd like currently. Overall, deck probably isn't tier 1, but at least with the 1-card combos it allows the engine to be smaller to incorporate more handtraps and board breakers, so it's got a chance.
