Deck Primer

Revolution Synchron combined with the relatively recent unbanning of Ancient Fairy Dragon has singlehandedly breathed new life into the ABC Dragon Buster strategy.

Revolution Synchron + any level 4 (ABC monsters, Adventure Token, etc.) can make Ancient Fairy Dragon (AFD) allowing for extra extension and a search for another field spell! Since the deck revolves around multiple field spells, AFD can bridge into the Therion cards for another negate + extension, since Therion Regulus equips an ABC monster from the GY.

The synergy of ABC, Adventure, Therion and Ancient Fairy Dragon (made possible with Revolution Synchron) allows the strategy to end on a nearly unbreakable board with 7+ negates/interruptions, while the ABC cards provide ample follow-up for next turn!

ARCHETYPES AND DECKBUILDING

Forming the main body of the strategy, the ABC cards compose of 13 cards: 3 B-Buster Drake, 2 C-Crush Wyvern, 2 A-Assault Core, 1 Union Driver, 3 Union Hangar, 1 Terraforming and 1 Set Rotation. In the Extra Deck there are 2 ABC-Dragon Buster.

Functioning as a supporting engine to the ABC cards, the ADVENTURE package is composed of 8 cards: 3 Water Enchantress, 2 Rite of Aramesir, 1 Fateful Adventure, 1 Dracoback, and 1 Wandering Gryphon Rider.

The THERION package is tiny since it is highly searchable: 2 Therion Discolossseum and 2 Regulus. In the Extra Deck, there is 1 Springans Merrymaker and 1 Gigantic Champion Sargas so they can search out Regulus.

The small but impactful SYNCHRON package is only composed of three cards: 3 Revolution Synchron. In the Extra Deck There is 1 AFD and 1 Crystal Wing.

The rest of the cards are STAPLES. 3 Pot of Prosperity is used to increase the consistency of this deck (it's kind of bricky). 10+ handtraps are used in this deck so it can play second after weakening/stopping your opponent's strategy.

COMBOS AND GAMEPLAN

Like most combo heavy decks, ABC's gameplan is to set-up as many interruptions as possible (up to 7!) while accruing tons of advantage and resources for itself. This deck excels at going first and it's brickiness is somewhat fixed due to how easy it is to access AFD through Revolution Synchron and AFD searches for this deck's main fieldspell starter, Union Hangar. Going second, this deck has a difficult time playing through interruption, but can easily set-up Bagooska in a pinch.

The entire ABC combo line is now protected by Crystal Wing through Revolution Synchron and the Adventure Package - so if you open with either of these engines, you can protect your main combo. These combos are also featured on Yacine656's channel if you want to check out a video on them. Here are this deck's ABC combos:

Union Hangar + Revolution Synchron = Crystal Wing's monster negate/destroy + Regulus' omni-negate + I:P Masquerena's quick effect link (Underworld Goddess, Knightmare Unicorn, Apollousa) + ABC Dragon Buster's banish and summon from the banish pile of ABC monsters. (7 interruptions + follow-up!)

Activate Union Hangar. Search for B-Buster Drake.
Normal Summon B-Buster Drake. Activate Union Hangar's trigger effect to equip B-Buster Drake with Union Driver from deck.
Activate Union Driver's effect to equip from deck C-Crush Wyvern.
Special summon C-Crush Wyvern from backrow.
Synchro summon AFD using Revolution Synchron from hand.
Search A-Assault Core from B-Buster Drake's trigger effect.
Activate AFD's effect to destroy your field spell Union Hangar to search Discolosseum.
Activate Discolosseum to search Therion Regulus.
Activate Revolution Synchron's effect to summon itself from the GY as a level 1 tuner.
Activate AFD's effect to summon A-Assault Core from hand.
Synchro summon Crystal Wing using AFD + Revolution Synchron (That's the 5th summon, protecting you vs. Nibiru).
Special summon from hand Regulus by equipping B-Buster Drake from the GY.
Special summon B-Buster Drake from the backrow.
Link summon Platinum Gadget using B-Buster Drake + A-Assault Core.
CL1 B-Buster Drake to search for another B-Buster Drake from deck and CL2 A-Assault Core to retrieve B-Buster Drake from GY.
Activate Platinum Gadget's effect to summon B-Buster Drake from hand.
Link summon I:P Masquerena using B-Buster Drake and C-Crush Wyvern.
CL1 B-Buster Drake to search for A-Assault Core from deck, CL2 C-Crush Wyvern to summon to B-Buster Drake from hand.
Special summon ABC Dragon Buster by banishing the A, B and C monsters from GY.
Activate B-Buster Drake to equip itself to ABC Dragon buster, rendering it immune to spell cards.

Union Hangar + Rite of Aramesir = Wandering Gryphon Rider's omni-negate + ABC Dragon Buster's banish and summon from the banish pile of ABC monsters. (2 interruptions + follow-up)

Activate Union Hangar. Search for B-Buster Drake.
Activate Rite of Aramesir to summon an Adventure Token and place Fateful Adventure in the backrow.
Normal Summon B-Buster Drake. CL1 Union Hangar to equip B-Buster Drake with Union Driver from deck, CL2 Fateful Adventure to search for Dracoback from deck.
Activate Fateful Adventure to search for Wandering Gryphon Rider while discarding Dracoback.
Equip Dracoback from GY to Adventure Token and summon Gryphon Rider from hand.
Activate Union Driver effect to equip from deck A-Assault Core.
Special summon A-Assault Core from backrow.
Link summon Platinum Gadget using B-Buster Drake and A-Assault Core.
B-Buster Drake searches for C-Crush Wyvern from deck. (Don't activate A-Assault Core's trigger effect here, or else you can't make ABC Dragon Buster!)
Special summon C-Crush Wyvern from hand using Platinum Gadget's effect.
Special summon ABC Dragon Buster by banishing the A, B and C monsters from GY.

Therion Discolosseum + Revolution Synchron + Rite of Aramesir = Crystal Wing's monster negate/destroy + Regulus' omni-negate + Apollousa's 3 monster negates, ABC Dragon Buster's banish and summon from the banish pile of ABC monsters. (6 interruptions + follow-up!)

Activate Rite of Aramesir to summon an Adventure Token and place Fateful Adventure in the backrow.
Activate Therion Discolosseum to search for Regulus from deck.
Synchron summon AFD using Adventure Token + Revolution Synchron.
Fateful Adventure's trigger effect searches Dracoback from deck.
AFD destroys Discolosseum to search for Union Hangar from deck.
Activate Union Hangar to search for B-Buster Drake from deck.
Special summon B-Buster from hand using AFD's effect.

Special summon ABC Dragon Buster by banishing the A, B and C monsters from GY.
(Extra action, not needed in the combo) Search with Fateful Adventure Water Enchantress and discard her. Banish her from GY to search for Rite of Aramesir from deck.

GENERAL TIPS

While piloting this deck, I discovered that it's REALLY easy to misplay. Certain actions (Like A-Assault recovering an ABC from GY) prevents certain plays from happening (like ensuing there are at least 1 of each ABC monster in the GY to special summon ABC Dragon Buster). It's important to practice a lot with this deck so you can memorize the combos!
This deck's combos are different with every hand. Be sure to practice the combos to know which combos are optimal for whatever cards you open!
If you get Droll'd or Shifter'd, make Bagooska and pass turn so you can wait out the turn-stopping lingering effect which stops the main combo cold.
Going first, this deck has a high power ceiling and a strong board most decks would have difficulty cracking. Going second however, this deck central combo doesn't really play through much interruption.
Despite this deck's consistency boosted by Revolution Synchron and AFD, it's still somewhat bricky. This deck features 4 bricks out of a 40 card deck, so there is a relatively large chance you draw into one of them.
For paying the cost of Pot of Prosperity, keep in mind which Extra Deck cards you'll use for the duration of the duel. My favourite 6 Extra Deck cards to banish are Knightmare Phoenix, Knightmare Unicorn, Underworld Goddess, Avramax, Springans Merrymaker and Gigantic Champion Sargas.
While going second, play the Adventure package first to bait out interruption before going for the main combo. Gryphon's omni-negate and Dracoback's target bounce puts immense pressure on your opponent to react.
Before activating ABC Dragon Buster's triple summon from the banished pile, be sure to use Regulus' or Gryphon Rider's omni-negate first so you clear a space on your board for the summon of three monsters at once.

CONCLUDING REMARKS

Any ABC monster coupled with Revolution Synchron makes Ancient Fairy Dragon does wonders for the deck! AFD bridging Union Hangar <-> Therion Discolosseum means that either fieldspell and its associated strategy is easily accessible. Crystal Wing before the 5th summon coupled with Regulus and before the main combo renders most handtraps useless against the ABC strategy, especially it's old nemesis, Nibiru! (Shoutout to MST.TV and Yacine656 for their combos/decklists)

ABC Synchron scratches that itch to play with machines competitively since it stars ABC Dragon Buster, Regulus and with it's most recent addition, Revolution Synchron! Now this old fan favourite has a new lease on life in the cutthroat competitive 2023 meta!
