Trap-Monster cards is a mechanic from the early games of Yugioh. The main advantage of it was to summon multiple monsters in one turn, cause special summoning wasn't a thing of the past.Nowadays this mechanic is kind of cringe for new players, while it is still cool for boomers like us, the old players.
The only reason this deck is somewhat playable is "Statue of Anguish Pattern" which can destroy a card every time a new trap-monster is summoned, while this effect is not a hard once-per-turn effect. The reason of playing this deck in MasterDuel on the other hand, is the low cost of the deck cause it's abandoned and forgotten.
The newest archetype that revamped this "archetype" are the Eldlich cards, that you might have to experiment with, but it costs a lot of crafting points and it's more suitable for zombie decks.
In solo mode I've found the card: "You're Finished" which seems like a good card (similar effect of the XYZ card Zeus) at the first glance, but it has a very hard limitations to make it work. I've tried it at first in my deck at x3 times, but... every time it was a pretty big brick and I was never able to activate it. I would really like to have it in the deck for at least x1 times and let the RNG (heart of the card) decide if I access it, but even at x1 it feels a pretty bad option !
On the other hand "Apophis the Swamp Deity" is very nice card, still you don't want to draw 2 of them at your first turn, that's why I've removed the other 2 copies and I run only x1.
Last but not least, one of the newer supportive cards of this"archetype" is "Angel Statue - Azurune". While it has extremely good effects, you don't really need to run x3 of them.
Now let's talk about the elephant in the room, the old OG cards. Tiki curse and Tiki soul are not good cards at all. While playing vs a CPU/BOT it can always decide which monster to focus first to get the better battle results, but while playing vs humans (that are bad at reading), you can always trick them and get a good advantage of misreading.
While this archetype doesn't have a specific way of winning, "Zoma the spirit" and the Timelord can inflict some damage to make it easier for you win. Most of the times you only need to Link summon a big beater/beatstick to finish-off your opponent in one turn, while all the other turns you try to utilize the best possible way these bodies by defending and destroying your opponent's cards.
"Egyptian God Slime" is a very good addition to fight the META of 2024 which is broken as f@ck.
You can always use some extra deck cards that fit your needs like from Knightmare archetype, feel free to experiment with this cheap deck.
