While this deck can be seen as predicated on going first: there are enough hand traps, negation, and routes to get to the boss monsters that going second and dealing with early combo negates doesn't have to be a death sentence. If going first, the key is to get to your monsters that have the ability to stop Special Summons (ie: D/D/D Wave High King Caesar), eliminate your opponent's back row (Kali Yuga), or even just outright negate spell effects (High Flame King Genghis).

    I know basically NO ONE plays D/D/D competitively anymore, but I think this deck has enough of what makes the meta decks strong to be a good rogue deck that could handle competitive play.

    ik one person than has a good d/d deck and will rely on a d/d engine for syncrhos once halq is banned, if ever

    not really. it’s been insanely powercrept by the likes of Dragonlink and such; even if it can get a multinegate board like D/D/D players love to praise, a lot of the negates aren’t that strong, especially by today’s standards, and are outclassed by a single Appolousa
