Duel Links Skill Discussion: I Was Quicker Than You

With the release of the Sad Cowboy variant of Kalin Kessler, we’ve received the new skill “I Was Quicker Than You.” It allows you to start the duel with two thousand extra life points, but only if you go first. Otherwise, your opponent gains two thousand life points. Previous life gain skills have required heavy costs for gaining more than one thousand life points, so they were rarely used in a competitive setting. Is Duel Links Ready for XYZ?

Duel Links: Forbidden Lance or World Legacy Clash?

Forbidden Lance and World Legacy Clash are cards that serve very similar purposes. Forbidden Lance protects a monster from spells and traps for one turn and makes that monster lose 800 attack. World Legacy Clash banishes one of your monsters until the end phase, dodging potential destruction, and decreases an opponent’s monster’s attack and defense by your banished monster’s stats. Both are quick-play spells that have the potential to act as both protection or aggression.
