Despian is a Fusion-based archetype announced from Dawn of Majesty. Introducing themselves as the antagonist architect behind the dubious Dogmatika, the Despians bear a recurring motif of theatrical elements and corruption. Outside of trying to display their wicked intentions across the Dogmatika story, Despia brandishes a strong reliance on its Fusion-based strategy. These fallen fairies will constantly call upon their fiendish fusion overlords, which will spawn other minions upon destruction. This sort of strategy present themselves as a tempo playstyle, where your objective is to outlast your opponent to annoyance.Read more
Myutants, aptly named for the deformed wall of texts on every Myutant card text, is a new archetype now available for both TCG and OCG now. Depicted as having escaped from KONAMI’s R&D department, these aberrations seek to befuddle both you and your opponent into misconstruing these effects into anything playable. But enough with the big and fancy words, I am here to beat these Alien vs Predator wannabes into you.Read more
What is it with KONAMI and their love for level 3s? The last time we had anything Level 3 related, (eyes at Virtual World) nothing pleasant came out of it. Nevertheless, the PUNK archetype, fresh from Grand Creators, has finally debuted in the metagame scene as yet another consistent 3-Axis tool. What exactly is PUNK, and what could they produce? Let me paint you the big picture.Read more
Burst of Destiny has debuted in the OCG and the new themes are worming their way into the Metagame! All Water decks share two traits: they are fun to mess around with, and they have not topped since forever.
So imagine my surprise when I was surfing the net, and came across a fishy list going against the torrent of meta decks, schooling everything in its way to a solid top! Right after, many have decided to pick this archetype up as well, currently establishing a corner of the OCG Metagame.
This will be the fourth Constellation Archetype the game has introduced so far. Unlike the previous successors of the stars, (Constellar, Tellarknights, Drytron), I will boldly declare that these Ursartic will never take the top spots amongst other competitive decks of its era. So what are the Ursarctics, what can they do, and are they fur real? Some say you can find the answers through stargazing. But for the more restless ones, here’s my breakdown and analysis of the deck.Read more
The Ignister archetype has currently received support from Eternity Code and Lightning Overdrive. Adopting the full array of attributes available, Ignisters aim to repeatedly activate Ignister A.I. Land to swarm the board enough to summon most, if not all, of the Ignister boss monsters through every Extra Deck summoning method in existence. The ability to quickly alternate between summons has encouraged a common Hyper Combo playstyle of the deck, especially with the newer support.Read more
The Dogmatika lore continues with a new archetype, the Tri-Brigade. A convention of tribes Konami has often grouped together, these members preach their creed as a Combo engine. As players are beginning to finalize their approach to the archetype, I would like to sum up their findings to you!Read more
I am going to start off by declaring that I do not like the nature of this deck. It goes against every aspect, impressions and everything I know and adore about the game. This deck ends games quick. This deck antagonizes opponents and tramples on the good natured players whom after a long, depressing week of work, just want to have fun. And this deck will never suffer from power creep.Read more
Debuting in Deck Build: Genesis Impact, these seemingly mischievous influencers have definitely taken the internet by storm, spawning an excessive amount of adorable artwork while players ponder the reason behind their creation. Tune in with me to see what can be done with these two! (oh, and don’t forget to SMASH that Like and Share button below!)Read more
