Explanation of seemingly Out-of-Place cards:
Dragon Core Hexer + Tri-Horned Dragon + Summoner's Art : The bricks required to use Advanced Ritual Art and High Ritual Art
Jar of Avarice : Used to return combo pieces to summon our a Towers if needed, and to return ritual spells to deck for Transonic Bird
Meteonis Drytron : Can summon any Ritual Monster. Use it by sacrificing one of our extra deck monsters, Barricadeborg Blocker or Sky Striker Ace - Azalea Temperance
Note: Ritual Spells in a highlander format like Domain are precious since so few of them exist. Recursing Ritual Spells will be a necessisty if we wish to play many Rituals.
Advantages of the Raidraptor Engine:
A "Towers" is a card that is unaffected by other card effects. The full raidraptor combo we access through our deckmaster Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius will put out 2 towers, those being Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon and Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon. This allows us to put immense pressure onto our opponents while we are free to do other things with peace of mind our board is as safe as can be.
There is also a surprising amount of recursion in the deck through Raidraptor - Roost which can reset Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius to keep adding spells or traps to hand (by using our deckmaster Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius to send Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius ). Later in the game when we can use Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius to destroy a monster, we can add Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force to summon out Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon for a swift OTK by attacking all monsters.
In addition to putting out two Towers, the combo also searches out Transonic Bird as a level 4 dark winged-beast through Raidraptor - Force Strix, transiting the deck into its second portion - the rituals.
What do we want Shinobird to do?
Lets Familiarize ourselves with Transonic Bird : send one Ritual spell from deck to GY (Quick Effect) this effect becomes that card's effect that Ritual Summons and the second effect is to reveal one Ritual spell, shuffle it into deck and add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand whose name is listed. Essentially, this sets up the deck to want to run many different Ritual spells to send to GY for summoning on each of our 3 opponent's turns. Note that transonic bird does not provide the material nor the ritual monster to be summoned, only the spell. This is where the choice of Ritual Monsters comes in! Vendreads and Shinobirds
Shinobaron Peacock + Shinobaroness Peacock : When Ritual Summoned: Bounce 3 monsters or 3 spells/traps Returns to hand and summons 2 tokens (lv4) on End Phase This solves the both the problem of having Ritual Monsters (in hand) and having Material (tokens) Vendread Battlelord and Revendread Slayer: Ritual Spell can summon Vendread Ritual from GY. Ritual Spell provides its own material. Can search out the Shinobirds. Dumping Vendread is easy, so having access to the Ritual Monster to be Ritual Summoned follows. Since material is provided, no work is needed to be done. You will be able to summon these turn after turn, but definitly Shinobirds are much more powerful. Firstly though, we will need to summon the Transonic Bird first. Lets go over the Ritual Spells used:
Sonic Tracker: Summons Transonic, and can dump either a Shinobird or a Vendread from Deck to GY
Advanced Ritual Art: THE MOST important Ritual Spell to copy - allows you to summon "for free" without material cost
Vendread Scavenger: summons any Vendread from deck, then Ritual summons from Hand or GY using it as material.
By sending Advanced Ritual Art, we summon for free the Shinobirds, who can then bounce themselves and allow us to summon them again the next turn using the tokens they provide on leave. This will form a loop we can perform once per turn until we run out of ritual spells.
What d
How to use Vendreads:
The Vendreads consist of Dark Zombie monsters which do not directly contribute to interacting with the opponent. Instead, we use them more as a consistancy piece with Vendread Battlelord and Revendread Slayer being able to search a Ritual Monster or Spell. Their niche is their ablity to be sent to grave with Transonic Bird 's ritual spell Sonic Tracker. Transonic Bird can then send to grave Revendread Evolution to supply the Ritual Materials nessisary.
With Scar of the Vendread you will be able to find Vendread Revolution to recur one of your precious Ritual Spells
Boardwipes and Revivals
Monsters like Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon and Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon are unaffected by all card effects while on the field - including our own. Thus, boardwipes disproporatly affect our opponents more than us because we will keep our monsters while they lose all of theirs.
In addition, revival spells are especially powerful in this deck because we are reviving Towers. Towers are cards that are unaffected by card effects and thus require specialized tools (such as Kaijus) to deal with. Most decks have only a few of those tools avalible to them, thus if we revive enough they will inevivably run out of options for dealing with our Towers and we will win thorugh our Towers.
