After testing with this deck for a while this is what I have come up with for Timelords. The goal is to go second and inflict burn damage consistently. I really like Mound of The Bound Creator because your opponent will want to destroy it and as soon as they do you can add Ra - Sphere Mode to your hand which is really effective against today's meta. Field Barrier is really good to protect your Mound against any backrow destruction your opponent tries to use. It also prevents your opponent from using field spells like Union Hangar, Dragon Ravine, etc... A combo I really like to do when your opponent has two-thousand or less life points is normal summon a Timelord and then use Celestial Transformation to special summon another Timelord from your hand and go into Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max and inflict two-thousand burn damage for game. Most of the extra deck is composed of Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries targets.

Hello, I think Ghost Reaper is a great choice especially for this format considering extra deck monsters like Isolde, Altergeist Hexstia, Spyral Double Helix, etc… Lead to big boards like Trigate Wizard and all the Knightmare monsters. So if you use Ghost Reaper and have all the meta extra deck targets in your extra deck then you can eliminate the possibility of your opponent being able to go off and make those big boards. Firewall Dragon is a huge problem in today’s meta and it hasen’t gotten banned yet and needs to be. Also this deck’s extra deck is very loose. So I figured I would use it for cherry targets.

Hello KODA, good question. So this was one of my personal tech choices. After Mound Of the Bound Creator gets destroyed it says that you can add one Divine monster from your deck to your hand, and the only target for that in the deck is Ra Sphere Mode, Ra Sphere Mode in today’s meta is super powerful because it can destroy boards that big combo decks make like Pendulum Magicians, Goukis, etc… If you don’t like it your more than welcome to take it out and add another Timelord instead if you’d like. Hope this response really helps!

Hello wellsontheja! To answer your question about using Toadally Awesome in the deck, it is just a Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries target. Most of the extra deck is made up of Ghost Reaper targets since extra deck space is very loose in this deck. Also I have just now updated the deck for the most recent December 2019 banlist for you and anyone else who wanted to see this deck get updated. Thanks so much for reaching out with your question. I hope this response helps :)!

Hey RealGabeKramer. Torrential Tribute is super good in this deck because it’s a floodgateish card that blows up the field and that can really screw your opponent’s plays over if they summon a bunch of monsters and you use the torrential tribute because then they won’t have any plays left and will have to pass their turn. Also, the Timelords cannot be destroyed by card effects, therefore when you activate torrential tribute the Timelord that is face up on your field will not be destroyed. I hope this response helps, and no problem helping!

    Dear MindReader,
Thank you for your wisdom about torrential tributes. I have another question though. Could you explain your reasoning for every card in the extra deck? I know they are all ghost cherries targets, but why those ones?
    Thank You,

Hey RealGabeKramer. I have no problem answering your questions! As for your second question, if you look at the date on this deck profile post, its pretty old :/. The reason for those cherry targets were because those were the meta defining extra deck monsters during that time. If you would like I can update this post and post up a new version with the meta defining extra deck cards for this format and a different side deck (since that changes every format as well)? But basically you could just trade out the irrelevant ones like firewall dragon since it got banned and replace it with Saryuja Skull Dread or Thunder Dragon Colossus, something that will be more effective against today’s meta. Another one is like replacing ABC Buster Dragon since ABC isn’t played very much at competitive events and replace it with Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf. But yeah you get the point. Just every format keep updating the extra and side decks. Or as I’ve said, I am offering to do it for you now and update the post! Sadly, I can’t keep updating every deck I have posted on here according to the current format or I’d be on here 24/7 haha. So yeah if you get it or want me to update it as I’ve offered just let me know :).

    Hope this helps!,

Also, Why Isn’t Winged Dragon Of Ra In The Deck?

Hello again RealGabeKramer, as per your request I have updated the deck. And for your second question about the winged dragon of ra, it isn’t needed in the deck because the only purpose of sphere mode is to be searched off the field spell, mound of the bound creator and since today’s meta game is heavily combo based, it will stop decks like pendulums and thunder dragons that make those crazy boards. I have explained this already in the description and because someone else in the comments asked the same question so please refer to those resources if needed :). You can also use sphere mode to go into one of the rank 10 xyzs in the extra deck. Hope this helps!
