Although Histlander is primarily a singleton format, the one exception are non-effect, non-pendulum monsters. This means we can run 3 copies of normal monsters such as Sabersaurus, enabling Dino Rabbit. Although the Dinosaur Xyz plays are often the way you close out games and build boards, the deck is filled to the brim with powerful generic cards otherwise
Pros:
- Able to use Evolzar Xyz for some degree of board-building
- Tons of room for generics which can be tailored to the meta
- The years the deck is in have access to a lot of powerful generic staples
Cons:
- To enable Rescue Rabbit, you do need to run several relatively dead vanillas
- Can struggle to make Extra Deck monsters on demand to answer certain board states/go for lethal damage
- Later years are missing some of the strongest power backrow in the format
