The strategy is to build a strong board with 'Lapuila Mana', which will protect all other elementsabers and elemental lords. Then clear board or cripple hand with the elemental lords, once you have 2 of them out you can xyz for negation, if you resolve 2 lord's effects, the xyz monsters pretty much seal the game.
For turn one, there's about 65% chance to have the field spell or a way to get it. I chose not to include Metaverse because the FieldSpell is pretty useless outside of your own turn.
If you have it:
- Activate, then search Lapauila Mana if you don't have it. If you do have Lapauila, search for Aina for a 1 turn Moulinglacia.
- Special summon Lapauila, always send Makani and your choice for the other one (I find light (Target immunity) to be the best bet).
- If you have at least 2 more Elementsabers in your hand, summon Aina, then use her effect to summon Makani, then use her effect to add Moulinglacia.
- Link Aina and Makani into Isolde, then search for BLS, so you can summon it next turn.
- Change all the attributes in GY to Water, special summon Moulinglacia. (Opp. discards 2 random cards from the hand).
At this point, if you have Pot Of Avarice, then just use it and recycle all the monsters, then move depending on what you drew!
If your monsters hold up for the next turn, just search another lord and summon it, then XYZ into one of the Rank 8's, they almost always are enough to seal the game. Number 23 gives you 2 free auto-negates, and can attack directly; number 38 gives you infinite negates on spells/traps once per turn, so both are super useful.
Also summon the BLS in your hand and wait, since you can't attack until next turn (since you searched). Also avoid searching this turn...
For the 40% that you don't have the field spell:
Your best bet to try to summon Molehu for disruption. If you can manage to summon Lapauila Mana without the field spell, then that's good too. If you have Elemental Training, you can use that to bring out Molehu by tributing any other monster during your opp turn. Never use the trap card to summon Lapauila Mana, because that's just a waste, unless you want to set him up in the GY to then add it to your hand (Nalu), but there's honestly no point to that either... It's better to just use it to cycle through the other Elementsabers faster, so you can set up GY as well as thin the deck.
While not having the field spell makes it an uphill battle, it is possible to hold on and come back, and as soon as the field spell is out; its almost garanteed that you can bring out both Lapauila Mana and an Elemental Lord to wipe field/backrow/thin hand.
The deck has big weaknesses against cards that prevent special summoning or prevent you from setting up the GY/activating their effects in GY as well as struggles against non-targeting removal/negates. Important to side deck accordingly.
Side deck options are all meant to counter weaknesses:
3x Effect Veiler - Cheaper than impermance.
3x Heavy Storm Duster - Good for clearing backrow, its slow but at least doesn't hurt hand. Cosmic Cyclone might be better... your choice.
3x Torrential Tribute - If you side this in, summon Lapauila Mana with destruction immunity, so you can just wipe the field without being affected.
3x Storming Mirror Force - Just a way to handle other monsters with immunity or hard to deal with effects.
3x Droll & Lock bird... you can pur whatever you want instead tbh
I put I:P in the extra deck because I have one, it works alright if you want to have the disruption instead of the isolde.
I updated this on Jan 28 2020. This deck has been super consistent throughout, love em.
