I like Psychic Synchro, mainly because I played 3-axis Psychic Synchro for a while when I was still playing Duel Links years ago. I have always talked about the concept of neo-Sayer cards (as he was the guy who played Psychics in 5D’s), but I just do not like the new Psychic Synchro cards coming out of DUAD at all. So many of the new Psychic cards tutor from the Deck, GY, banishment, and one of them even does it from the Extra Deck which has resulted in some of the best cards of the batch having the restriction of locking you into Psychic monsters for the turn or for the rest of the turn when using them. Sure, that prevents the cards from being used as yet another Synchro slop Deck, but at the same time, it limits so much creativity and potential experimentation with the cards. You are still playing P.U.N.K. cards and you are still just playing a bunch of mediocre to decent Extra Deck Psychic Synchro pay-offs. Heck, if P.U.N.K. didn’t exist, these cards probably would have been looked at even less than they are currently. If you want to use the new cards, you are better off using them as generic Psychic tutors in other Psychic Archetypes and Decks. Or if you want to play a Psychic Synchro Deck, just play P.U.N.K., it is just the better Deck.
In my Gusto Prediction Princess Deck, I focused on using Hyper Psychic Blaster, a Level 9 EARTH Psychic Synchro Monster, as the Level 9 monster I was focusing on. It requires a Tuner and one or more Psychic non-Tuners as material, it inflicts piercing damage, and at the end of the damage step, if it attacked a Defense Position monster and that monster’s DEF was lower than Hyper Psychic Blaster’s ATK, you gain LP equal to the difference. The new Psychic support brings along a new version of this card called Psychic Blaster Mk-II. It is a Level 9 EARTH Psychic Synchro Monster that requires a Psychic Tuner and one or more Psychic non-Tuners as material. You can only use 1 of its effects per turn and only once that turn. It can target a banished monster and Special Summon it to your field or it can during the Main Phase Quick Effect banish a monster from your Gy and target another face-up monster on the field in order to banish it and gain LP equal to that monster’s original ATK. I mean, it’s better than Hyper Psychic Blaster, but it is somehow less generic for some reason. I get that Special Summoning any banished monster to your field is pretty neat, but I don’t think that, along with its effect to banish a monster on field and gain LP is worth making it less generic than Hyper Psychic Blaster. However, in this Deck, with a little bit of praying and luck, we can actually make both of these cards to Xyz Summon Mereologic Aggregator and go full Prediction Princess combo.
Full combo is Prototype Psychic Blaster, Mind Procedure, and any Prediction Princess card. I know that this is a pretty specific hand, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Let’s say that our Prediction Princess card is Prediction Princess Tarotrei. Activate Prototype Psychic Blaster in hand, discarding it to Special Summon Mind Procedure from your hand. Mind Procedure triggers off of being Special Summoned by a monster effect which adds Emergency Teleport from Deck to hand. Activate E-Tele to Special Summon Risebell the Star Adjuster from Deck who triggers on Special Summon to increase its Level by 3 from 3 to 6. Synchro Mind Procedure with Risebell to make Psychic Blaster Mk-II. Activate Prototype Blaster’s effect in GY, banishing Mind Procedure, to Special Summon itself from GY. Psychic Blaster Mk-II then Special Summons the banished Mind Procedure back. Synchro Prototype Blaster and Mind Procedure into Hyper Psychic Blaster. Now that you have both Synchro Psychic Blasters on field, you can Xyz both of them into Mereologic Aggregator in the EMZ. From there, it is the same song and dance as always: Aggregator sends Herald of the Arc Light from Extra Deck to GY. Herald triggers to search for Underworld Ritual of Prediction. Aggregator activates targeting Herald in GY, detaching 1, and reattaching Herald from GY to itself. Link Aggregator off into Gravity Controller which triggers Herald in GY again to search for Prediction Princess Tarotreith. Activate Underworld Ritual tributing Tarotreith to Ritual Summon Tarotrei. During the End Phase, Tarotrei can Special Summon Tarotreith back from the GY face-down and then during your opponent’s Standby Phase, you can banish Underworld Ritual from GY to Special Summon Prediction Princess Bibliomuse from Deck face-down and Tarotrei can flip Tarotreith face-up who can then Special Summon Deus-X Krawler from Deck face-down. Is this Deck particularly good? Nope. With all of the restrictions that the new Psychic Synchro support brings, this is probably the best that I could do with minimum effort really. But, there are always better versions of the Deck to play.
For the Main Deck Monsters: 3 Prediction Princess Tarotrei, 1 Prediction Princess Tarotreith, and 3 Prediction Princess Bibliomuse. Tarotrei can Quick Effect flip a monster on field face-up or face-down and she can Special Summon a Flip Monster from hand or GY face-down during your End Phase. Tarotreith must either be Ritual Summoned or Special Summoned via Tarotrei's effect in the End Phase. Her Flip Effect Special Summons a Flip Monster from your Deck face-down and she can also Quick Effect flip any number of your monsters face-up or face-down. Bibliomuse can Special Summon herself back face-down after being Tributed and sent there. Her Flip Effect adds a Prediction Princess monster other than herself and a Ritual Spell from Deck to hand and while she is face-up on the field, your Ritual Monsters gain targeting and destruction protection from your opponent’s card effects. 1 Deus-X Krawler which negates all activated monster effects on your opponent's side of the field after it has been flipped face-up and if it is destroyed on field, you can search for a Level 9 monster with a different Type and Attribute. 1 Pot of the Forbidden which has a Flip Effect that lets you choose between Drawing 2 cards, returning all Spell/Traps on the field to the hand, destroying all monsters your opponent controls, or looking at your opponent's hand and shuffling a card from it back into the Deck. 1 Risebell the Star Adjuster. When he is Special Summoned, you can target a face-up monster on the field and increase its Level by up to 3 until the end of the turn. Risebell is just really nice as an Emergency Teleport target that can modulate Levels, and also because it is an integral part of our combo. 3 Prototype Psychic Blaster which can discard itself to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Psychic monster from hand or banishment and if it is in the GY, you can pay 1000 Life Points and banish another Psychic monster from your GY to Special Summon Prototype Psychic Blaster from GY, but it is banished when it leaves the field. If anything, Prototype Psychic Blaster is a really good way to get monsters onto the field with the additional benefit of also putting monsters you want into banishment while also bringing itself back as a Level 6 Psychic body. 3 Mind Procedure which is a Tuner that can also be treated as a non-Tuner when used as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a Psychic monster. Its only other effect that we are using is its effect that triggers when it is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned by a monster effect which adds a Teleport Normal or Quick-Play Spell from your Deck. Now, I guess it is important to note that its last effect is if it is banished, you can pay 1000 LP to Special Summon it. But because Mind Procedure is one effect per turn and only once that turn, we are limited to the plays that I already described. Lastly, we are playing 3 Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and 2 Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit.
For Spell/Traps: 3 Pre-Preparation of Rites which searches a Ritual Spell from Deck and a Ritual Monster that is mentioned on that Ritual Spell from your Deck or GY. 2 Prediction Ritual which specially only can be used to Ritual Summon Prediction Princess Tarotrei and you can banish it from GY except the turn it was sent there to search a Prediction Princess monster. 3 Underworld Ritual of Prediction which can Ritual Summon a Prediction Princess Ritual Monster from hand or GY face-up or face-down and you can banish it from GY during the Standby Phase to Special Summon a non-Ritual Prediction Princess monster from Deck face-down. 1 Instant Fusion for Master of Ham. 1 Pot of Prosperity. 3 World Legacy Monstrosity which can either Special Summon a Level 9 monster from your hand or target a Level 9 monster you control to Special Summon 2 Level 9 monsters from your Deck with a different type and Attribute, but with different names. 2 Emergency Teleport. 1 Foolish Burial. Not only can this dump a Prediction Princess Ritual Monster from Deck for Underworld Ritual to Ritual Summon out of the GY, it can also dump a Prototype Psychic Blaster in the instance that you drew Mind Procedure, but not Prototype Psychic Blaster. Finally, 3 Infinite Impermenance.
Extra Deck: 1 Master of Ham which can on Fusion Summon can Special Summon a Flip Monster from hand or Deck face-down. 1 Psychic Blaster Mk-II and 1 Hyper Psychic Blaster. 1 Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys. Because we are playing Monstrosity, we can choose to instead make Crocodragon instead of Mk-II to actually be able to get Bibliomuse straight out of the Deck which benefits us in the case where we did draw the Psychic half of our Deck with combo but no Prediction Princess cards. 2 Herald of the Arc Light which, if sent to GY, can search for either a Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell from Deck. 1 Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder, 2 Mereologic Aggregator, 1 Laevateinn, Generaider Boss of Shadows, and 1 Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity. 1 Nine-Lives Cat which can detach a material to Special Summon back a monster from your opponent’s GY or a Level 9 monster from your GY, so on a future turn, you can make Nine-Lives cat to bring back say Mk-II to bring back a banished monster and also banish a monster on field. 1 Dyna Mondo, 1 S:P Little Knight, and 1 Gravity Controller.
Side Deck: 3 Nibiru, the Primal Being, 3 Droll & Lock Bird, 1 Triple Tactics Talent, 2 Lightning Storm, 1 Harpie’s Feather Duster, 2 Dark Ruler No More, and 3 Evenly Matched.
