Black Luster Soldier deck revolves around trying to stall until you can pull out your
Black Luster Soldier through deck-searching. You do this primarily by using beat down 4 stars, or high defense stall monsters. In this case, this version of the deck is all traditional attack based monsters. However, you can get creative and add in high attack but improbable monsters that won't likely attack on their own, like
Jirai Gumo (2200ATK
),
Dark Elf(2000ATK
), and
Panther Warrior(2000ATK
). Keep your high attack monsters on the field while working towards your win condition. You don't necessarily have to attack, in fact, while stalling it may be in your favor to reconsider playing too offensive without your trump card ready. You can experiment with having defense cards in your deck as well. However, the difference between having 2000 defense or 1900 attack is so little that it's worth being able to steadily beat down the enemy while you wait.
You look for your
Black Luster Ritual with
Sonic Bird, and you look for
Black Luster Soldier with
Senju Of The Thousand Hands. You then combine them with sacrificing two of your beat down stall monsters and ritual summon
Black Luster Soldier
It's a very primitive playstyle even for 2002,but it's actually quite fun. It's fast, and snappy, and within it's own meta it is very hard to keep up with. It has very limited card swap potential, most of the cards are mandatory for it work correctly.
