Cyberse Mk. 11.2
Deck Primer
P.S.: I plan to use this deck physically. Although I have most of its cards, Accesscode Talker is VERY expensive, hence why I don't run it.
Before I explain the strategy, let me tell the history of this deck:
This is my most stable and powerful deck, however, it's a little old, as the last time I really hunkered down to improve it, there were no Nibiru, Zeus or Dragoons around. Thank COVID for that. And, according do MBT, I can upload my decks in here in order to seek advice, so that's what I'm doing.
Now, I'm an old-school player that skipped "those wacky black and white cards", and, just as I was getting used to Pendulums (Igknights best deck, let's GOOOOO), Links dropped and made me completely lost. And since I was buying a lot of cards, and VRAINS is a really cool anime, I tried making a Playmaker deck. The first time I managed to make a Decode Talker on a single turn was soooo exciting...... until it got Kaiju'd.
Then I found about Cyberse Magician lock, how Cyberse Clock and Quantum Dragons are able to do that lock similarly, how Transcode and Excode Talkers open up zones for them (back when this was a thing, in MR4) and finally, I got to a point where my deck can consistently setup Transcode and Excode protected by Masquerena on turn 1....... Until I got Nibiru'd. So now my deck is trash again, and I really wanna know how to make it playable again.
Okay, now for the ACTUAL strategy:
My focus is making a board where most of my monsters are protected, and Excode Talker works wonders for that. The winning formula of this deck consists in having a Transcode Talker on the Extra Monster Zone, pointing to a Excode Talker, that protects it from destruction (and can be revived due to Transcode's effect), plus one of the three locking monsters, either Cyberse Magician, Cyberse Clock Dragon or Cyberse Quantum Dragon on the field, being pointed by the Excode Talker. Any extras are welcome.
If everything works and I end up with a Transcode, Excode and one of the three lockers on the field, the locker protects all monsters from attacks or effects, and Excode protects the locker from effects.
However, one thing I cannot do is NEGATE, and that is why Nibiru works against me. Since Nibiru does not destroy, neither Excode, Masquerena or the Locker are able to prevent it from working. I THINK (not too sure, though) that Kaiju's, Sphere Mode, Lava Golem and the sort does not work due to the locker disallowing targetting, but since Nibiru neither targets nor destroy....
An example of a Combo:

.yugoShoukan {

}
.gishkiShoukan {
color: #9ca5ff;
}
.tsujoShoukan {
color: goldenrod;
}
.tokushoShoukan {
color: darkorange;
}
As you can see, all scenarios lead to Nibiru. We COULD not Special Summon a few monsters on the beginning of the turn, but that would end at most with a unprotected Transcode Talker.
So, I need advices. What should I run on this deck?

Let's assume your starting hand contains Clock Wyvern, One-Time Passcode, Cyberse Converter..... and that Nibiru isn't a factor. Normal Summon Clock Wyvern, then Activate its effect to halve its ATK and Special Summon a token. Then, Special Summon Cyberse Converter due to its effect. Activate One-Time Passcode to Special Summon ANOTHER token. Then, you have two options: Bring the Code Talkers to the field, or a Locker. And you can also pick one of two lockers: Cyberse Magician or Cyberse Clock Dragon. I usually assume Code Talkers are better to begin with, but:
Link Summon I:P Masquerena using Clock Wyvern and its Token Link Summon Transcode Talker using I:P Masquerena and Cyberse Converter. This protects Transcode from destruction effects. Activate Transcode's effect and bring back Masquerena from the GY. Link Summon Excode Talker using Masquerena and the remaining Token. That protects Excode from destruction effects, and grants another destruction protection to Transcode, since it points to it. This scenario ends up using 8 summons. So, Nibiru completely breaks it. | Using Clock Wyvern's token, Link Summon Link Disciple. Using Passcode's token, Link Summon Link Devotee. This locks our Link-3 summons, sadly. Tribute Devotee using Disciple's effect, draw a card, then return a card to deck. Since Devotee was tributed, Special Summon two Devotee Tokens. Now you gotta decide: Do you want to bring Cyberse Clock Dragon, or Cyberse Magician?
Using Disciple and one Devotee token, Link Summon Cyberse Witch. Link Summon Linkuriboh using the remaining Devotee token. This will trigger Witch's effect, allowing you to tutor Cyberse Magician and Cynet Ritual. Ritual Summon Cyberse Magician using the remaining non-Link Monsters. As long as you have a Link on the field, your opponent can only attack Cyberse Magician (and you have Linkuriboh to protect it once) and can only target Cyberse Magician with effects. Since we summoned 11 monsters, and Nibiru doesn't target, guess what happens? | Using Disciple and one Devotee token, Link Summon Clock Spartoi. Activate its effect to tutor Cynet Fusion. Once again, our path branches: Can we attack? If we can, we should boost our Clock Dragon's ATK. Else, we better give it some protection:
Using the remaining token and Cyberse Converter, Link Summon a Link-2 Code Talker. You might go for Inverted, since it can bring one more body to the field. Fusion Summon Cyberse Clock Dragon using Clock Wyvern and one or both of your Link Monsters. Since the idea is a red-like attack, you might go for broke and use both. Activate Clock Dragon's effect and mill 4 for a 4000 ATK Boost. You will enter the Battle Phase having summoned 11 monsters, and probably getting Nibiru'd.... But it's a MIGHTY token.... that will sadly be destroyed soon, since it has pretty much no defense. | Using the remaining token, Link Summon Linkuriboh. Fusion Summon Cyberse Clock Dragon, using Clock Wyvern and Clock Spartoi, in the middle zone, or the outermost zone closest to your used Extra. We COULD use Linkuriboh, but we'll need him for some battle protection... If everyone survives (which is VERY unlikely), next turn, using only one summon, we can bring both Transcode and Excode Talkers in a way that also protects our Clock Dragon. However, this uses 11 summons as well. |
As you can see, all scenarios lead to Nibiru. We COULD not Special Summon a few monsters on the beginning of the turn, but that would end at most with a unprotected Transcode Talker.
So, I need advices. What should I run on this deck?
